About the author¶
Adam Matthew Steinberger is a Senior Azure & AI Development Engineer at The Vizius Group in Greenville, South Carolina, and an autistic / neurodivergent engineer who says so in his headline because it's part of how he works: systematically, thoroughly, and with a preference for evidence over adjectives. That's the sensibility behind a paperclip pet that ships with blind QA reports.
He writes about how engineers can be heard without becoming salespeople. Engineering Influence is a field guide to earning attention honestly: hooks that deliver what they promise, awe over outrage, "honesty gets you the share", and a hard rule against manipulating the audience you're trying to serve. This documentation site is an attempt to practise that on a small, silly, well-made thing. His earlier book, From Novice to Navigator, is for engineers early in their careers.
He builds and maintains privacy-first, open-source software, prefers tools that don't phone home, and thinks a good disclaimer is a feature.
